Lesson analysis

Walk through a lesson card by card and find questions that don't work.

Open a lesson and choose ⋯ → Analysis. Viewers can see it too. The analysis counts only learners' first attempts — repeats are left out.

Use it to find out whether a question works: when many learners get it wrong, the problem is usually in the question and its answers, or in the cards that explain the topic before it.

Summary

  • Started — how many learners started the lesson.
  • Completed — how many finished it, with the share of those who started.
  • Stopped on the way — learners who left the lesson unfinished and haven't come back for over a day.
  • Questions to check — questions with a success rate under 80 %.

Questions to check

The questions that need attention, the worst first. A question is marked Problem under 60 % and Worth a look from 60 to 79 %. Questions with fewer than 5 answers aren't rated yet. Click a question to jump to its detail.

Card by card

Every card in the order learners see it, with how many learners reached it and how many stopped here. A card where many learners stop may be too long, confusing, or a required question they can't answer.

For every quiz, matching and ordering card you also see:

  • Success — how many learners got it right on their first answer (for matching and ordering, the average of partial points).
  • Answers — how often learners chose each option, with the correct ones ticked. For ordering, how often each step was in the right place on the first check; for matching, how often each pair was matched right the first time.
  • The most common mistake and a tip on where to look:
    • Most mistakes go to one answer — check that this answer isn't also correct and that the right answer is marked as correct, then whether the cards before suggest the wrong one.
    • Wrong answers are spread out — learners are probably guessing; the topic may not be explained well enough before the question.
  • Explained before the question — the cards between the previous question and this one. If there are none, the question tests something the lesson doesn't explain right before it.

Click any card to open it in the editor.

If you move or add cards after learners have taken the lesson, older attempts may not match the current order of cards.
