Getting started checklist

A few steps from your first lesson to your first results — done in any order.

When your account is new, the Getting started checklist shows you the way from your first lesson to the moment real people finish it. It's at the top of the Dashboard and at the bottom of the left menu, where Getting started with a progress ring opens it from any page.

Steps tick themselves off when you do them — it doesn't matter whether you use the checklist or get there another way.

The steps

Make it yours

  • Create your first lesson — with at least 3 cards. Start from a sample lesson or create your own; Grizzi AI can write it for you.
  • Try it as a learner — open a lesson's Preview, or scan its QR code with your phone.

Invite your people

  • Invite your first learners and Invite at least 5 people — with Invite learners. People on your own team can be invited to try it, but they don't count.

Send a lesson

  • Publish a lesson and Send a lesson to your learners — with Share or a sequence.

See results

  • Your first learner finished — a learner outside your team finished a lesson.
  • Check the results — open the results of a lesson that has some.

Motivate your learners (plans with points and badges)

  • See what your learners get — in Learners, open a learner, then ⋯ → Preview learner page.
  • Start a challenge — a sequence with a challenge and a badge.

On a plan without points and badges, this part shows what they are and how to get them.

Make it a habit

  • Automate with a sequence — a sequence that is running.
  • Invite a colleague — add someone in Team.

Each step's button takes you right to the place where you do it and points at the button to click. How? opens the matching page of this documentation.

Sample lessons

A new account starts with a few sample lessons in the Sample lessons folder. They're published and marked Sample, so you can try them as a learner or send them to your people right away. They take on your account's theme, don't count towards your plan's lesson limit, and you can edit or delete them like any other lesson. Your own first lesson is still a step of its own.

Colleagues

Colleagues you add as editors get a short list of their own: create or edit a lesson, try it as a learner and comment on a card.

Tips by email

If you get stuck, you'll get a short tip by email about the next step — never more than one a day and at most four in total. If you keep working, no tips come. When your first learner finishes a lesson, you'll get a note about it.

To stop the tips, click Stop these tips at the bottom of any of them. Invitations, comments and account emails keep coming.

Hiding the checklist

  • ⋯ → Hide checklist hides it just for you. To bring it back, open your account menu (bottom left) → Getting started.
  • ⋯ → Turn off onboarding for this account (owners) hides it for everyone and stops the tips.

When everything is done, the checklist says You're all set and disappears after a few days.

Page introductions

The first time you open a page — Dashboard, Lessons, the lesson editor, Media, Sequences, Learners, Results, Challenges — a short note at the top explains what the page is for. Got it hides it for good; Learn more opens this documentation.
