Creating lessons
Start a lesson from scratch or let Grizzi AI create it with you.
Lessons live on the Lessons page of a space. Only editors of the space (and account owners) can create them.
Click Create new…. Creating a lesson takes two steps:
- Build a lesson or a whole series: pick a use case or a teaching approach (or Let Grizzi decide). A click takes you straight to the next step.
- How do you want to create it?: choose Let Grizzi AI create all or Do it manually. Back returns to the first step.
If Grizzi AI isn't available in your account, there is only the first step: a click on an option creates the lesson and opens it in the editor.
Build a lesson or a whole series
At the top is Let Grizzi decide: skip the choice and let Grizzi pick a fitting teaching approach for each lesson. (Without Grizzi AI it's Empty lesson.) Below it are two tabs: By use case and By teaching approach.
By use case
Pick the use case that fits: Onboarding, Product training, Sales skills, Customer care, Communication & collaboration, Leading people, Health & safety, Cybersecurity, Policies & compliance, Procedures & tools, Change in the company, Culture & values or Reinforcement after training. Each one is built on a proven teaching approach and has its own lesson outline. Each row says what the use case is for and which approach it uses; Learn more opens its page with the full outline and tips. See all of them in Use cases.
By teaching approach
If you already know how the lesson should work, pick a teaching approach directly: Explain a topic, Solve a real problem, Practise decisions, Explore first, Bust myths, Reflect & build a habit, Step-by-step how-to, Tell a story or Review & recall. Each row says how the lesson flows; Learn more opens the approach's page.
Do it manually
Grizlet creates a lesson called "Untitled lesson" and opens the editor. Rename it in the editor header whenever you like.
- With a use case, the lesson starts with its outline: placeholder cards in the right order (for Sales skills, for example, the customer, decisions in the conversation, how to handle objections and a checklist). Each card says what to write on it. Replace the texts and add or remove cards as you need.
- With a teaching approach, the lesson starts with the approach's outline — the cards from the table on its page (for Bust myths, for example, three beliefs, each with a Myth / Fact question and the truth).
- With Let Grizzi decide (or Empty lesson), the lesson starts almost empty.
Let Grizzi AI create all
Opens a chat with Grizzi AI, the AI assistant for the whole space. Tell Grizzi what you're preparing, attach your materials (a handbook, a presentation, notes) and brainstorm the plan together. Grizzi creates the lessons only when you tell it to, for example by replying "Looks good — create the lessons". See Grizzi AI.
If you picked a use case, Grizzi asks about your training with it in mind and builds the lessons on its outline. If you picked a teaching approach, Grizzi asks what the training is about and builds every lesson on that approach. With Let Grizzi decide, Grizzi suggests a fitting teaching approach for each lesson in its plan — you can ask for a different one.
New lessons are created in the folder you have open, as drafts.
