Comments
Discuss cards with your team, like comments in a shared document.
Anyone who can see a lesson — including viewers — can read and write comments on its cards.
Writing a comment
Click the comment icon above a card, or Comments in the editor header. Write your comment and send it with the button or Cmd / Ctrl + Enter.
- @mention a colleague to notify them. You can mention only people who can see the lesson.
- Assign a thread to someone to make them responsible for it.
- Resolve a thread when it's done. Replying to a resolved thread opens it again.
- Copy link gives you a direct link to the thread.
The panel shows This card or All cards, and Open or Resolved threads. You can edit or delete your own comments. Deleting the first comment deletes the whole thread.
Who gets notified
The author of the lesson is always notified about every comment — you don't need to mention them. Their name has an Author badge in comments and in the @mention list. Below the comment field you can see who your comment notifies (for example Unless otherwise specified, Jana Nováková (the lesson author) will be notified automatically., or Notifies Jana Nováková (lesson author) by default and Petr Malý when someone else is notified too); hover over it to see everyone.
A comment concerns you if you can see the lesson, didn't write the comment yourself, and you:
- are the author of the lesson,
- started the thread, are assigned to it or have written in it, or
- were mentioned in it.
You'll see:
- an amber badge with the number of comments waiting for your reaction on the lesson (and on its folder), and a dot next to Lessons in the left menu,
- a notification with a short sound in the bottom right corner when a new comment arrives (your browser plays the sound only after you've clicked somewhere on the page),
- an email digest a few minutes after the conversation calms down. It also tells you when someone resolves a thread you're part of. Comments you've already seen in the app or that have been resolved are left out.
The badge disappears when you reply or the thread is resolved — just reading it isn't enough.
Duplicating, translating or copying a lesson doesn't copy its comments.
