Organizing lessons
Folders, selecting many lessons at once, moving, duplicating and copying lessons.
Folders
Folders organize lessons in the admin; learners don't see them. Create one with New folder on the Lessons page. Drag lessons onto a folder to move them. Folders can contain other folders.
The Lessons page has a grid and a list view and filters such as My lessons, Published and Unpublished.
Sort on the right of the filters orders lessons by Oldest first (the default), Newest first or Name (A–Z). Your choice is remembered. Folders are always listed first, by name.
Lesson menu
Right-click a lesson (or use its ⋯) for: Edit, Preview, Rename, Status, Share, QR code, Results, Duplicate, Translate, Move to (a folder), Move to space, Copy to account and Delete.
Selecting many lessons
Tick the round checkbox in the corner of a lesson or folder, drag a selection rectangle over empty space, or Shift / Cmd / Ctrl + click. A bar with actions for the whole selection replaces the filters. The same actions are in the right-click menu of the selection.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Status | Sets Draft / Published / Archived for all selected lessons, including lessons inside selected folders. |
| Duplicate | Creates copies next to the originals, named "(copy)". Folders are copied with their contents. |
| Move to | Moves the selection to another folder, or to a New folder…. You can also drag the selection. |
| Translate | Translates each lesson into a copy in another language. See Translating lessons. |
| Share | Sends every selected lesson to the chosen learners, each as a separate invitation. |
| Sequence | Add to sequence or Create new sequence with the selected lessons. Only published lessons in the sequence's language are added. |
| Copy to account… | Copies lessons to another account or space. |
| Delete | Deletes lessons and folders including their contents. |
A selected folder stands for all lessons in it, ordered by name.
Moving a lesson to another space
Use Move to space in the lesson menu. People without access to that space will no longer see the lesson.
Copying to another account
Copy to account… copies a lesson (or a selection with folders) to another account or space you manage. You need to be an owner of the source account and an owner or editor in the target. The copy:
- is a draft with all cards and settings,
- includes the files from Media it uses and its custom theme,
- does not include learners, results, assignments, sequences or comments.
Links to other lessons of the original account are changed to their public addresses.
Deleting
Deleting a lesson deletes all its cards and learner results and can't be undone. A lesson used in a sequence (as a step or as a trigger) can't be deleted — remove it from the sequence first.
