Card types
Every kind of card you can add to a lesson and how it's scored.
Quiz, Matching and Ordering cards are scored. Together they make up the lesson score, which is compared to the lesson's pass mark. All other cards are not scored.
Title card
Always the first card of a lesson. It shows the lesson title, an optional text and your account logo from Branding (you can hide it, enlarge it or put it on a white plate so a dark logo stays readable on a dark image — or upload an inverse logo in Branding, which is used automatically on dark backgrounds). It can have a background image.
Card
The basic content card: a heading, text and an image. You can hide the heading or the text, and choose whether the text sits at the top, in the middle or at the bottom of the card. A card needs at least a heading, a text or an image.
Video
Upload a video file or paste a YouTube or Vimeo link. You can also create a video with an AI presenter (see Media).
- A vertical 720 × 1200 video fills the card; a horizontal one plays full screen.
- Make video mandatory — learners can continue only after watching to the end and can't skip ahead. Works only for uploaded videos, not YouTube or Vimeo.
Quiz
A question with 2–5 options.
- Single or Multiple correct answers. With multiple answers, learners must select all correct options — there are no partial points.
- Yes / No format — learners see two large buttons.
- Comment after answering — explain why this is the answer. Or turn on Comment per option to show a different comment for each option.
- Keep option order — don't shuffle this question even if the lesson shuffles quiz options (useful for "All of the above").
Learners see right away whether they answered correctly. Only the first answer counts. The correct answers never reach the learner's browser before they answer.
Matching
Learners match items on the left with items on the right (2–6 pairs). Items can be text, images or both — for example a tool's icon matched with its name.
- Extra items on the right (up to 3) match nothing and make guessing the last pair harder.
- An optional comment is shown after all pairs are matched.
Learners tap an item on the left and then on the right (on a computer they can also drag). Each pair is checked immediately. The score is the share of pairs matched correctly on the first try.
Ordering
Learners put 3–7 steps in the right order by tapping numbered places, then press the check button. The score comes from the first check, based on the longest run of steps already in the correct order. An optional comment is shown with the correct order.
Poll
A question with 2–5 options and no right answer. Polls aren't scored.
- Anonymous poll — results show only totals, not who answered. Can't be changed once learners have answered.
- Required — turn off to let learners skip the poll.
- Multiple answers — learners can pick more than one option.
- Show results after answering — learners see how everyone voted. Off: only their own choice.
Form
An open question that learners answer in their own words (up to 2,000 characters, or a lower limit you set). You can add a placeholder in the answer box and a sample answer that learners see after submitting their own. Not scored; answers appear in Results.
Rate
Learners rate something on a scale: Stars 1–5, Emoji (sad – neutral – happy) or Thumbs down / up. Turn on Required to make rating mandatory. The scale can't be changed once learners have rated.
Checklist
A list of up to 10 items learners tick off, with an optional title. With Required, learners can continue only after ticking every item.
Button
Up to 3 buttons that take learners to another card in the lesson, to another lesson, or to a website. Use it for branching ("Where next?") or links to further resources.
