Who can take a lesson

Decide whether a lesson needs a personal invitation, an identification, or nothing.

In Lesson settings → Who can take this lesson, choose one of three options:

OptionWithout a personal linkWith a personal link
Only invited learners (default)Only a message that the lesson needs an invitation. Hidden from your public page.Starts right away under the learner's name.
Anyone with the link, after entering name and emailLearners enter their name and email first.Starts right away.
Anyone with the link, anonymouslyAnyone can take it without signing in; results are anonymous.Starts right away and is tracked by name.

A learner with a personal link from Share or a sequence can always take the lesson.

Which one to choose

  • Only invited learners — internal training where you need to know exactly who completed it.
  • Name and email — documented training (for example health & safety) that should also be open to people outside your learner register. Note that the entered email isn't verified and isn't matched with your learner register.
  • Anonymously — public content, marketing, events, posters with a QR code.

Your public page

Your account has a public page that lists published lessons open to everyone (lessons with Only invited learners are left out). Its address is set in Web address.
