Web address

Where learners open your lessons — and how to use your own domain.

Account settings → Web address (account owners only). Invitations and QR codes use this address.

Account URL

The part of the Grizlet address that identifies your account. Changing it breaks lesson links that were already sent.

Custom domain

Optionally, learners can open your lessons on your own address, for example lessons.company.com, instead of the Grizlet one.

  1. Choose the address — usually a subdomain such as lessons.company.com.
  2. At your domain provider, add a DNS record. For a subdomain use a CNAME record; for a root domain (company.com) an A record. How to install custom domain? in the settings shows the exact values. Prefer a subdomain: a CNAME follows our server automatically, while an A record has to be updated if the server's IP address ever changes.
  3. Save the domain in Grizlet.
  4. Open the address to check it works. DNS changes can take a while to spread.

A lesson then opens at lessons.company.com/<lesson-url>.
