Badges
Badges learners earn — automatic badges for milestones and your account's badges for challenges.
There are two kinds of badges:
- Milestone badges — learners get them automatically, for example for their first lesson or a 7-day streak. See Badges. You can't change them, only turn all badges off.
- Your badges — badges your account gives for completing challenges.
Badges are bright and colourful on purpose, independent of your branding, so they stand out as a reward. Earned badges are in colour; the ones a learner is working towards are grey — on My overview with a progress bar under the name (287 of 500).
On My overview, learners can tap any badge to see how to earn it and where they stand: the date they earned it, their progress, or that the challenge is over. Milestone badges explain their rule (for example Complete a lesson 3 days in a row. Weekends don’t break your streak.); your badges name the challenge that gives them, followed by the badge's description from the gallery.
Account settings → Gamification → Badges
Open Account settings and, in the Gamification chapter, Badges (team members who can edit, with gamification on).
Your badges lists your account's badges with how many times learners earned them and which challenges give them:
- Click the name to rename a badge. The new name shows everywhere, also for learners who already earned it.
- Change image — choose another image from Media.
- Archive — the badge isn't offered for new challenges any more; learners keep it and running challenges still give it. Restore brings it back.
- Delete — only for badges nobody has earned and no challenge uses.
Gallery shows ready-made badges. Use this badge adds one to your badges.
Your own images
With Upload new, use your own image — a programme logo, your mascot. Use a square PNG or SVG with a transparent background, at least 512 × 512 px; the whole image is shown, it isn't cropped to a circle. The image is stored in Media (it counts towards your storage) and can't be deleted there while a badge uses it. Replacing it in Media changes the badge too.
Your own badge images are part of the Business and Enterprise plans. Badges you made keep working if you downgrade, but you can't upload new ones.
Badges belong to the whole account, like Media — every space can use them.
