Gamification

Settings

Turn gamification on or off and choose which parts your learners see.

Open Account settings and, in the Gamification chapter, Settings. Only the account owner can change these settings.

Gamification

The main switch. Turned off, learners and your team see nothing of gamification. Nothing is deleted: points, streaks and badges learners earned come back when you turn it on again.

Gamification is part of the Business and Enterprise plans. In other plans the switches are locked and the page offers an upgrade. When you downgrade, gamification is hidden, but what learners earned is kept.

Parts

PartOn by defaultWhat it turns on
Pointsyespoints for lessons, stars and the celebration at the end of a lesson, the Points column in Learners
Streaksyesthe streak on My overview, the Streak column in Learners, badges for streaks
Badgesyesmilestone badges, badges for challenges the Badges section on My overview and the Badges column in Learners
Challengesyeschallenges in sequences: the challenge card, Challenges in the left menu, challenge cards on My overview
Leaderboardnoa weekly ranking by points of all learners on My overview; in Challenges → Leaderboard also within each learner group. Needs Points.

Turning a part off hides it. While it's off, learners don't collect it — for example with Points off, finished lessons add no points. With Challenges off, running challenges are no longer shown or decided; the sequences and their completion criteria keep working. Without Points and Badges, a challenge has no reward but still shows the deadline and progress.

How learners earn points

The bottom of the page lists the point values. They're the same for every account; see Points.
