Sequences
Completion criteria
Decide when a learner has completed a sequence — all lessons, passed tests or a minimum score.
Every sequence has its own result for each learner: Achieved, In progress or Failed. The result follows the sequence's completion criteria. Set them in Settings at the top right of the sequence → Completion criteria.
Choosing the criteria
- Complete all lessons (the default) — the learner finishes every lesson of the sequence, whatever the score.
- Complete all lessons and pass every test — every lesson with scored questions must reach its own pass score.
- Complete all lessons and score at least… — a minimum score in every test, on average across the tests, or in selected lessons (for example only the final test).
- Custom… — your own list of conditions. Each condition is Complete, Pass (the lesson's pass score) or Score at least a percentage (in each lesson or on average), for all lessons, all tests or selected lessons. Complete can also ask for only at least a number of lessons, for example 4 of 6. All conditions must be met.
Below the choice, the criteria are summed up in a sentence. "Tests" are lessons with scored questions (quiz, matching, ordering); lessons without them only need to be completed.
How the result is decided
- The first result of each lesson counts, the same as everywhere else — taking a lesson again doesn't change anything. A lesson the learner completed before joining the sequence (for example after you shared it) counts too.
- The result is Failed as soon as the criteria can't be met any more — for example when the first result of a test is below the minimum score, or the average can't be reached even with 100 % in the remaining tests. The sequence still sends the remaining lessons.
- The result can come before the sequence ends: when the time is counted from when the previous lesson is sent, the sequence ends when the last lesson is sent, but the learner achieves it only after completing the lessons.
- Once Achieved or Failed, the result doesn't change.
When you change the criteria of a running sequence (pause, edit, resume), learners already in it keep the criteria of the version they started with.
Where you see results
- The Learners tab of the sequence has a Result column and buttons to show only Achieved, In progress or Failed learners.
- The learner's profile shows Achieved or Failed next to each of their sequences.
- Another sequence can start when this one is achieved or failed — see Another sequence is completed.
