Learners
Importing learners
Add many learners at once from Excel or from your Slack workspace.
From Excel
- On the Learners page, click Import.
- Download the Excel file. It contains all your current learners, so it also works as a template.
- Edit existing rows or add new ones.
- Upload the edited file.
Learners are matched by their Grizlet ID or email. New rows are added; nobody is deleted. In the Language column, write a language code (cs, de) or name (Czech, Čeština); leave it empty for Same as the lesson. A file without the Language column (downloaded before it existed) leaves learners' languages unchanged. If any row has a mistake, nothing is imported and you'll see which rows to fix.
From Slack
When Slack is connected, click Import from Slack on the Learners page. You'll see the people from your Slack workspace (without bots and deactivated users).
- Search and select the people you want. People who are already learners are marked.
- Optionally choose a group to add them to.
- Import.
The import only adds new learners, matched by email. Existing learners aren't changed.
