Product training
Introduce products, their benefits and use to sales, support or partners.
Sales, support and partners don't need a feature list — they need to know which customer problem a product solves and how to explain it.
Teaching approach: Solve a real problem. The lesson starts with a customer's problem, shows how the product solves it, then lets learners match needs to products themselves.
What the lesson looks like
| # | Card | What to write |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Card — A customer's problem | A typical customer and what they want to solve. |
| 2 | Form — What would you offer them? | Learners try before the explanation. |
| 3 | Card — Meet the product | What it is and who it's for, in two or three sentences. |
| 4 | Card — How it solves the problem | Benefit → the feature that delivers it. |
| 5 | Matching — Match each customer need with the right product or feature | Practice. |
| 6 | Quiz — Another customer: what fits them best? | Apply it to a new case. |
| 7 | Card — Mistakes to avoid | Features instead of benefits, promising too much. |
| 8 | Form — Which of your customers would benefit? | Connects it to their own customers. |
Tips
- Use real customer cases — ask sales or support for the questions they hear most.
- Benefits first: "you'll close the month two days sooner", then "automatic reconciliation".
- For a product range, make one lesson per product or customer type.
